Fann Wong and hubby to perform Sand Dance for charity
Celebrity couple Fann Wong and Christopher Lee will perform a fundraising item together for the first time in the upcoming “SPD Charity Show 2011”, which will also feature a slew of performances from other local and international stars. “I look forward to the performance. I am very happy to get a chance to work with my husband,” said Wong during the press conference for the charity show.
While the pair seemed very happy to be working together for charity, Wong said they knew very little about the Sand Dance segment which they are supposed to perform. She expressed that they are quite worried as they are still a little fuzzy about what they have to do and have not started rehearsing for it yet. There are less than three weeks left before the “SPD Charity Show 2011” airs on March 13 and they still haven’t met their trainer. They (the production team) are bullying us! “They must be thinking that we (she and Lee) can always rehearse at home and feel it is very convenient [for us] as we don’t have to specially make time to meet up and rehearse together,” Wong joked.
The “SPD Charity Show 2011” is the third television fundraiser put together to raise funds for the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), a voluntary welfare organisation that aims to help its 3,000 physically disabled beneficiaries re-integrate themselves into society. The charity programme hopes to raise S$3.5 million, which will go towards supporting the SPD’s many initiatives, like providing skills training, transport and social support to its beneficiaries.
