China Anticipates iPad 2?s Uncertain Arrival

Chinese Apple fans are waiting eagerly to find out when they will be able to get the iPad 2 after the company announced the device would ship in the U.S. on March 11, a further 26 countries (not including China) by March 26, and “many more countries around the world in coming months.”

Some Chinese Apple followers expressed disappointment that the iPad 2, unveiled at an Apple event in San Francisco on Thursday, doesn’t seem drastically different from the first iPad. Others were far more enthusiastic, however.

One microblogger on Sina Weibo writing under the name orangebc said the announced price of the iPad 2 was more attractive than the pricing of other tablets available in China, “and there is such a technical improvement on the iPad 2. I guess it’s really hard to ask excited Apple fans not to untie their pocket strings!”

I can’t wait to purchase my ipad 2! Especially because I never purchased an ipad original. As soon as I was ready to get one, I heard that they were working on the ipad 2 so I decided to wait. Steve Jobs is like a superhero. Even when he is sick he never fails to amaze people!
