1,000 participants turn up for first disability sports carnival
The This-Ability Sports Carnival 2011, the first ever disability sports carnival, drew some 1,000 participants from mainstream and special schools.
Participants played basketball and took part in relays. The organiser hopes the event will bring sports to more people with disabilities, and encourage them to see sports as a way to a healthy lifestyle.
The event also hopes to create greater awareness of disability sports for the general public.
