A co-pilot for Japanese airline All Nippon Airways nearly flipped the plane
A co-pilot for Japanese airline All Nippon Airways nearly flipped the plane he was flying after pushing a wrong button, officials with the airline said.
The Japan Transport Safety Board said two flight attendants suffered minor injuries when the co-pilot pressed the wrong button when trying to open the cockpit door to let the plane’s captain back in from a restroom break. The plane tipped more than 130 degrees during the Sept. 6 flight from Naha to Tokyo, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Six passengers on the flight either became air sick or reported neck pains.
The announcement of the incident came hours after the airline received the first of the new generation Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets Wednesday.
That is so scary that one wrong button push can turn a commercial plane upside down. I would have died anyway!
