Co-founded by Indrani, award-winning photographer, director, TV personality and Princeton grad, and her father Ajay Pal-Chaudhuri, www.seeschool.org has gained thousands of international supporters, who are raising a world-wide media response to the attacks. The school has been featured in many articles, Times of India, Hindustan Times etc. and was the subject of an episode of the US television doc-series “Double Exposure” now airing in over 50 countries.

For 17 years, Shakti Empowerment Education Foundation’s Ramakrishna Vedanta Society Vidyapith and Satish Palchowdhury Trust Children’s Park (www.SEEschool.org) have provided free education for 300 children and women, literacy, vocational classes and village women’s microfinancing, a library and clinic for the poor.

But in Ranaghat, Land Mafia aided by 2 local Leaders of Trinamool Congress, are illegally occupying and tearing down the walls at the playground at SEEschool.org, endangering the students and the foundation at Gatak Para.

We ask Mamata Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress, and the Indian Media, to hold local leaders accountable: restore the 10laks rs damages from tearing down walls and trees, and protect this charitable school, its women and children, and its grounds from illegal occupation and harassment. Join us to support the rights and education of illiterate women and poor children in Ranaghat, West Bengal.
