Each year, the Asian Business Association (ABA) honors leaders in the Asian American business community. The ABA also recognizes corporations who consistently support the Asian business community and provide opportunities and environment for Asian American entrepreneurs to flourish.

The Asian Business Association 35th Annual Awards Banquet, The Invisible Asian: Asian-American and their Impact in Media and Entertainment will be held at the Globe Theatre in Universal Studios Hollywood on tonight! at 6:00 pm (PT). This is a tribute to the significant and often unheralded contributions that Asian Americans are making in entertainment and the media the how they are shaping perceptions around the world.

“Southern California Edison is proud to chair and sponsor the Asian Business Association for its commitment to helping diverse Asian-Americans make an impact, not only in business locally but also in media and entertainment globally,” said SCE President Ronald Litzinger, the ABA dinner chair. SCE is the first utility to achieve more than $1 billion in diverse business enterprise spending.

Steve Tao, president of The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment, was the keynote speaker. Lucy Noland, NBC4 LA anchor, was mistress of ceremonies.

“We selected these individuals and organizations because of their dedicated efforts in promoting Asian-Americans in media and entertainment,” said Alhambra City Councilman Gary Yamauchi, the ABA co-chair. “We’re grateful also to our sponsors this year for supporting the important work we’re doing in the community.”
