Asian-American musician and YouTube sensation Clara Chung will be making her way
Asian-American musician and YouTube sensation Clara Chung will be making her way to Australia and Southeast Asia this month and next to showcase original songs from her debut album “The Art in My Heart” as well as some covers that brought her to prominence on the Internet.
A native New Yorker and a Los Angeles resident, Clara started posting on YouTube after her friends pressured her, and she never thought that a little click could send her halfway around the world.
On this tour, Clara will visit Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne and Sydney.
“Asia and Australia are two continents I have never visited and have always dreamt of stepping foot on. YouTube has opened me to a global fan base, which is something I could never have without it,” said Clara.
According to her biography, Clara has won prestigious competitions such as Kollaboration 10, ISA 09: Los Angeles and the KAC Media Creative Juice Night. She has performed at renowned venues such as the White House, the Department of Education, Hollywood Bowl, Nokia Theater, LA Live and the Shrine Auditorium, among many others.
The 24-year-old singer believes that John Mayer, Sia and Feist have had the biggest influence on her creative process.
