Planned Parenthood goes Bollywood

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has ruled that birth control is basic preventive health care and should be made available to millions of women in the United States without a co-pay. This ruling is a giant leap forward for women’s health.

To celebrate, and as an expression of their happiness, they released a Bollywood-themed short video featuring Pillamina, their pill-pack mascot for the effort to get prescription birth control covered with no co-pays:

It’s a short, energetic celebration, featuring Planned Parenthood staff and volunteers shaking it to Bollywood beats.

For the next 60 days, HHS is accepting public comments on its decision. They are also accepting comments on proposals to exempt certain religious employers, which could lead to some women losing access to this vital protection.
