Lucy Liu donned a sheer dress with leather detailing to walk the red carpet at the opening of Detachment in New York last night.

The film’s star, Adrian Brody, was also on hand to promote the movie, which first made its debut at the 2011 Tribeca film festival.

The drama film, which centers around the American high school education system, also stars Christina Hendricks, James Caan and Marcia Gay Harden.
