Marisa Sung’s Shrimp Chow Mein

Ingredients:
1 1b raw shrimp, shelled, deveined and washed
1/4 low fat cooking oil of your choice
2 cups of thin sliced celery
1 small green pepper, cleaned and cut lengthwise into strips
1 can of bamboo shoots, drained and thinly sliced
1 can bean sprouts drained
2 cans button mushrooms; drained
1 can of chicken bouillon
3/4 tsp. of salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. onion salt
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
chow mein noodles

Steps:
Dry shrimp on paper towel
Heat oil in Chinese Wok over direct high flame
Add shrimp; stir and fry until shrimp is cooked and turns pink
Remove shrimp from pan; keep warm
Add celery and pepper to hot oil
Stir and fry until vegetables are cooked but retain some crispiness
Add remaining vegetables, bouillon, seasonings and shrimp
Mix and heat; stirring often
Mix cornstarch and water until free of lumps
Stir into hot mixture
Simmer, stirring constantly until slightly thickened
Serve with the heated chow mein noodles

Yield=6 servings

With 6 you get eggroll
