Marisa Sung’s Holiday Cocktails

I learned to make drinks at the tender age of four. My late father and most of his family enjoyed Cocktail Hour quite often! I know how to make most concoctions from memory as a child! We live in a very different world today. Everyone is incredibly health conscious but those were the days of Madmen so to speak! 🙂

Gin Cider
Ingredients:
1 1/4 oz of dry gin
3 oz. of chilled apple cider
1 lemon wedge, squeezed
Thin slice of apple for garnish

Steps:
Pour all ingredients over ice and shake vigorously
Strain into a martini glass and garnish with apple slice

Pink Paloma
Ingredients:
1 part pomegranate liqueur
1 part tequila
citrus/grapefruit soda
candy cane for garnish

Steps:
Build over ice, stir gently, and fill with citrus soda.
Garnish with lime wedge

Healthy Margarita
Recipe:
Start with 2 shots of aged Tequila Anejo, 1 shot of fresh squeezed limejuice, 1 shot of Triple Sec or Cointreau, and a squeeze or orange juice (preferably fresh valencia)
If you or your guests are on a diet and want to avoid sugar, you can prepare “The Skinny Margarita” = 2 shots Tequila, a lot of ice and 1 whole juiced lime.
Cheers!
