NYU’s Asian Cultural Union hosts 25th Annual Benefit Gala

As a tribute to Asian Heritage Month in April, NYU presents “Asian Cultural Expressions” (“ACE”), the largest and longest-running student-produced fashion and cultural show on campus. This year’s show, titled “Reawakening”, will feature pieces by Calvin Klein, Domenico Vacca, Lacoste, Alfred Sung Bridal, various European designers including Heimstone, Nicola Finetti, Blanc de Chine, and handbag designer Brianna Lundeen, along with performances by Timbetold, Pandemonium, and the Far East Movement, who will make their East Coast debut! The event will be held on April 4th, 2008 at 7 PM at the Kimmel Center for University Life.

“ACE 25: Reawakening” expects to garner over 500 audience members from the NYU community and beyond. All proceeds will directly benefit Project Sunshine, a New York-based, not-for-profit organization that provides free educational and recreational programs to children and families affected by medical challenges.

Throughout the past 25 years, the annual, highly anticipated ACE benefit galas have entertained thousands of guests and developed a respectable reputation amongst the NYU/New York City community. In the past, ACE has collaborated with world-renowned designers, including Alice Roi, Anna Sui, Christian Dior, and Hugo Boss, along with reputable corporations, such as Estee Lauder, Merrill Lynch, and STA Travel. This year, ACE will be collaborating with Issey Miyake.
