Last year, Danny Boyle mentioned to us that he would love to do thriller in Mumbai. His latest film, 127 Hours, about a mountain climber who becomes trapped under a boulder and cuts his own arm off, has already wrapped.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle was spotted in Mumbai apparently to sign a deal with Anurag Kashyap.

According to a source, Kashyap had the story for the film ready since his No Smoking days. The buzz is strong that he is in talks with Aamir Khan to play the lead in this period flick set in 1940’s Mumbai. Kashyap had narrated the script to Danny when he was in Mumbai. Apparently, Boyle liked the script and was ready to cooperate.

The source added that Danny agreed to present the film, as it would give it a push in the international market as the filmmaker is quite a hit in foreign market after Slumdog Millionaire’s success.
