Clinton School of Public Service students got a taste of what’s to come Thursday night at a lecture featuring President Clinton and journalists Lisa and Laura Ling.

The students briefly met the former president before the lecture and enjoyed and hour-long discussion with the Lings.

After an introduction for President Clinton, the Lings discussed Laura’s imprisonment and Lisa’s unrelenting campaign to get her sister released. Having previously visited North Korea on a medical mission, Lisa joined Laura to describe the conditions in the country under the dictatorship of Kim Jong-iI.

They later signed copies of their new book, “Somewhere Inside: One Sister’s Captivity in North Korea and the Other’s Fight to Bring Her Home.”
