Freida Pinto to become face of Estee Lauder

The Mumbai-born actress and former model will join Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow in a deal reported to be worth £200,000.

Just two months ago, before Danny Boyle’s acclaimed film picked up a string of awards culminating in seven Baftas and eight Oscars, unknown Freida Pinto was struggling to get a job.

"Freida is hot property right now because ‘Slumdog’ has been a history maker of sorts," said Bollywood expert Taran Adarsh.

Estee Lauder has yet to comment on it, but apparently it’s a done deal.
