Top 10 Companies for Asian Americans

Diversity Inc released its Top 10 companies for Asian Americans. This is not to be confused with the Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list released last month.

Of all the 401 applicants to The 2009 DiversityInc, the companies on this specialty list have demonstrated a long-term commitment to hiring, retaining, compensating and promoting Asian Americans. They looked at the ratio of Asian Americans in management to Asian Americans being promoted, as in many corporations Asian Americans still are siloed in technical/professional roles and not put in the pipeline for top management.

They also looked at the strength and purpose of the company’s employee-resource groups for Asian Americans, its mentoring program, its philanthropic and scholarship efforts in the Asian-American community, and its relationships with MBEs (minority business enterprises) as suppliers.
