Olympic champion Kim Yu-Na announced today that her new coach will be Peter Oppegard.

After splitting with former coach Brian Orser in August, Kim moved her training base to Artesia, Ca. in early September.

New coach Oppegard is the 1988 Olympic pair bronze medalist with former partner Jill Watson. He is also married to Karen Kwan, sister of five-time world champion Michelle Kwan.

Kim’s new training rink, East West Ice Palace, is also owned by the Kwan family.
