The deadline has been set for Tiger Woods to give up his World Number One title. The date is October 31st, 2010.

The Official World Golf Ranking has set the new date for the revision of the ranking and according to them; Lee Westwood will be the new World Number One. This date would have come sooner if Westwood would not have taken off from the Portugal Masters, which is scheduled to be held next month.

The Englishman has his chance of reaching the top of the rankings even if he does not return to the course this month provided that Woods stays home till that time. Woods has no intention of picking the clubs till November 4th, 2010 for the HSBC Championship.
