Here are some arty photos of the Japan Commons Event on October 28th, presented by Area Japan.

The event was the first attempt at bringing Japanese and Japanese Americans together to party and connect. Agent Sato provided some Cosplay people as an icebreaker. There are very few Japanese centric events (although it’s open to all) in New York City. It was successful with over 200 people, many in costumes and Cosplay. The crowd had a distinct sub culture look regardless of whether they were in costume or not.

Area Japan hopes to produce other events in the future but not until 2011 which is just around the corner!! We’ll keep you updated as Asiance will be sponsoring them!
