Now is your chance to dance with ‘Last For One’

Last for One, the world champion, internationally renowned and award winning B-boy crew, will be presenting a workshop and performing their latest full-length theatrical production, “One Dream” in three Southern California summer showcases in late August.

Truly something to see!!

If they were in NYC, I’d join one of these workshops.

The workshop will be an opportunity for those interested in learning the art of B-boy dancing from basic technique to more advanced moves on August 18, 2010, 7:30 p.m., at the Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles ($5 workshop fee). The “One Dream” performances (both free admission) will be held at Grand Performances on August 20, 2010, 8 p.m., California Plaza, Los Angeles, CA and at Orange County Great Park on August 21, 2010, 8 p.m., Irvine, CA.

“One Dream” is an anthology of Last For One’s most enduring performance pieces. It traces, through dance and video, the group’s extraordinary rise to prominence in the world of hip-hop and beyond. The story starts from their humble, unlikely beginnings, through their triumphant first place victory at the biggest B-boying event in the world, the Battle of the Year, all the way to their current status as one of the busiest, highly sought after dance troupes in the world. Like the movies “Rocky” or “Hoosiers,” this is a story in the classic mold of the underdog, who, against all odds, rises to greatness.
