Indo-Ams want August to be “Indo-American Heritage Month”
Indo-Americans have urged President Obama and the US Congress to declare August “Indo-American Heritage Month” to celebrate their contribution to the American historical and cultural landscape.
Indo-American statesman, Rajan Zed, said in a statement today that the declaration would celebrate the extraordinary contributions that Americans of Indian descent have made. America is a country made up of immigrants and this celebration would recognize that Indo-Americans have become successful in every facet of American life.
Zed hopes for festivities that would celebrate and commemorate their heritage, culture and government-sponsored events for the month of August.
