Manny Pacquiao won a majority decision over Juan Manuel Marquez last night
Manny Pacquiao won a majority decision over Juan Manuel Marquez last night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao retained his welterweight title as judges Glenn Trowbridge, 116-112, and Dave Moretti, 115-113, scored the fight for Pacquiao. Robert Hoyle called it a draw, 114-114.
The third fight was supposed to settle the score between the two—but instead, it just raised more questions than answers as to who owns this epic trilogy.
We are so used to Pacquiao pulverizing his opponents that anything short of a knockout is a fluke.
But even Marquez, who has never been able to knock out Pacquiao in all of the 36 rounds they battled in the ring, could have used a knockdown to sway the judges.
Great fight by both fighters! Will upload video of fight when we get it!
