On Monday, Hennessy celebrated the Year of the Dragon at the acclaimed Buddakan restaurant in downtown Manhattan. This small dinner was hosted by fashion designer Kevin “SAER” Leong of Origami and celebrities including Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Travis Beckum and Jim Jones joined in the evening’s festivities.

“Hennessy Privilège’s Limited Edition NyX bottle embodies the Year of the Dragon — it’s luxurious, bold and a symbol of legends,” says Jennifer Yu, Director of Communications, Hennessy. “Named after NyX, the goddess of the night, the silver bottle reflects the moon’s shine and even glows under a black light. What better way to toast this stylish Lunar New Year than with fashion designer and longtime Hennessy fan Kevin Saer Leong?”

Leong debuted his line during New York’s Fashion Week in September 2011. Origami is his private label collection inspired by Chinese culture and the label’s namesake art of paper folding.

Additionally, Kevin is currently the Senior Vice President Creative Director of Simmons Design Group. In this role, he oversees the design for all of Russell Simmons’s brands previously including Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Run Athletics, Simmons Jewelry Company, and as of current, Argyle Culture, American Classics and Atman. All of his work is done through his own design company, Black Bean Sauce.
