Korean actress Song Hye-kyo has recently filed a police complaint against 41 netizens for posting allegedly defamatory comments about her, reported Korean media.
Korean authorities revealed Friday that they have begun investigating Song’s claims that these individuals have been posting comments, which suggested that she is the mistress of a powerful political figure, on various websites since September 2008.
Their comments also implied that she has an insatiable appetite for men.
The 30-year-old actress appears to be taking these comments very personally, and had filed the suit under her own name instead of doing so through her management agency.
Song is best known for her role in the hit 2004 television drama “Full House”, opposite K-pop superstar Rain, and will appear in Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai’s upcoming film “The Grand Master”, which has been in production since 2009.
