World Premiere of “White on Rice”
The world premiere of the independent film White on Rice – a comedic look at the Japanese immigrant experience in America – was hosted by Iyemon Cha Japanese Green Tea at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival last night. The public mingled with the film’s director and stars at an exclusive pre-screening reception at Robert Redford’s Sundance Kabuki theatre.
Director Dave Boyle shared insights on his film about a Japanese immigrant family coming to terms with romance, parenting and middle age while adjusting to American culture. Joining him were stars Hiroshi Watanabe (Clint Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima), Japanese Academy Award winner Nae (Letters from Iwo Jima) and Lynn Chen (Saving Faces).
“I like to think I’m bringing a splash of Japanese culture to America through my films,” said Boyle.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!Ping G15 Fairway wood | Ping G20 Irons | Cheap Ping G15 Irons | Cheap Ping k15 Irons | Cheap Ping k15 Left Irons
