Nick Cannon was rushed to a hospital in Aspen yesterday after suffering “mild kidney failure,” with wife Mariah Carey breaking the news on her official website. The singer posted a photo of Nick lying in his bed in the intensive care unit while lying beside him holding a drink to his mouth.

Nick has been training hard recently and has posted photos on his Twitter account, showing him working out and boxing with Amir Khan. MediaTakeOut alleges that Nick suffered a “kidney injury” a few weeks ago during a sparring session with the welterweight boxer.

While it is not clear if this session is what caused Nick’s kidney failure, he is said to be in a stable condition.
